The right package depends less on how many people live in a home and more on how many devices are active at the same time, and what they're doing.

A household mostly browsing and streaming standard video can comfortably run on an entry-level plan. Add multiple simultaneous 4K streams, competitive gaming, or a home office with video calls, and the calculus changes quickly.

When in doubt, it's cheaper to start with a mid-tier package and upgrade later than to over-provision from day one — upgrades on an existing connection are usually same-day.
