What is BDIX, and why does it make local content faster?
BDIX (Bangladesh Internet Exchange) is a local exchange point that lets ISPs connect directly to popular local and regional content, rather than routing every request out to international transit.
Traffic to BDIX-connected services — many streaming platforms, gaming servers, and local mirrors — takes a much shorter path, which shows up as lower latency and steadier throughput.
It's one of the reasons two connections with the same advertised international speed can feel very different when it comes to local content.
